SUCCESS AT THE STAATSOPER BERLIN
Valdemar recently sang one of the leading roles in Bernard Foccroulle's opera Cassandra at the Staatsoper Berlin (Berlin State Opera).
"Stunning" and "excellent" were just some of the superlatives that the critics bestowed on Valdemar in this successful performance.
BIO
Danish tenor Valdemar Villadsen graduated from the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. He has since established himself as an in-demand tenor throughout Europe.
Engagements have brought Valdemar to the Staatsoper Berlin - Unter den Linden, Royal Opera House La Monnaie in Brussels, Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, Wiesbaden State Opera, Berliner Philharmonie, and the Royal Albert Hall.
Being a very versatile high tenor, Valdemar regularly performs music by Bach, Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Rameau, Lully, Charpentier, Purcell, Monteverdi, Haydn, Mozart, as well as numerous contemporary composers.

As a kid I wanted to be an actor. I was a nerdy kid – a Shakespeare fan. When I was twelve I performed Hamlet on my paper theatre in its original length: five hours (shortening would have been, of course, cheating!). Without my mom's homemade cookies, it would have been a traumatising experience for the incarcerated...
