Valdemar is facing a many-colored and artistically diverse autumn, in which he’s going to appear in Bach’s Mass in B minor in Essen, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana in Norway, a Giuseppe Sarti concert in Rome with Concerto Copenhagen and a CD recording in Berlin.
Valdemar returns to Essen where he last year sang the Evangelist in Bach’s St Matthew Passion (Matthäus-Passion) – a performance that was extremely well received by the critics. Then he will sing his second Carmina Burana in Norway this year, when he appears in Orff’s scenic cantata in the marvellous concert hall Grieg Hall (Grieghallen) in Norway with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra.
A couple of days later he will appear in a concert in Rome with the Concerto Copenhagen performing music by Italian baroque composer Giuseppe Sarti. This closed concert is a celebration of the Danish Institute in Rome and will be attended by her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
