Bach & Bellini

Valdemar has many times been hailed for being a very versatile tenor – vocally and artistically. Among others, the famous German opera critic Jürgen Kesting from the Frankfurter Allgemeine has described Valdemar as “technically and stylistically a masterful tenor”. And this summer, Valdemar will once again prove his versatility, as he appears in both Bach performances and bel canto concerts with music by Bellini and Rossini.

He will appear in a bel canto concert in Burgos (Spain), in Bach’s Coffee Cantata in Lehnin (Germany), Bach’s Magnificat (on July 2nd – exactly 300 years after the first performance in Leipzig), Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor in Berlin, and as Arbace in Mozart’s opera Idomeneo at the Open Air Opra Berlin. He will also continue his solo concert series Valdemar Villadsen in Concert – this time in Berlin, with concerts consisting primarily of music by Bellini and Rossini.
